Celebrating Milestones for Global Wildlife Fair 2025
A Year of Impact with Global Wildlife Fair 2025
As 2024 comes to a close, we take a moment to reflect on an incredible journey and the progress made towards organizing the Global Wildlife Fair, scheduled for October 10 to 12, 2025. This year has been a testament to the power of collective action and the beauty of the natural world.
Through your enthusiastic participation, we’ve built a vibrant community of photographers, filmmakers, researchers, decision-makers, and innovators—all dedicated to celebrating and protecting our planet’s biodiversity. Our online platforms have sparked vital conversations around wildlife conservation and ecotourism, fostering collaboration and shared purpose.
Highlights from 2024
Delhi Earth Walks
In 2024, we organized Delhi Earth Walks to explore lesser-known local species, urban habitats, and migratory waterbirds and raptors. These outings have become a valuable platform for wildlife enthusiasts, especially young learners, to discover birds, insects, reptiles, trees, and more while gaining a deeper understanding of nature.
Led by notable conservationists, researchers, eco-warriors, and wildlife enthusiasts, these walks showcased ecosystems such as:
- Okhla Bird Sanctuary
- Dhanauri Wetlands
- Asola-Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary
For example, Ritu Rao, a PhD scholar at TERI School of Advanced Studies, led an Earth Walk and was featured on DW Hindi, highlighting the need to protect the Sahibi River’s habitats and address its water quality issues. These walks allowed researchers and conservationists to showcase their work while inspiring participants to connect deeply with nature.
Film Screenings
Partnering with the Wildlife Trust of India (WTI), we hosted Film Screenings focusing on diverse species and habitats. These films sparked important discussions on topics like:
- Animal-human coexistence
- Climate change
- Effects of industrial activities
- Community-led conservation efforts
- Mitigating the climate crisis
The screenings not only provided Delhi’s nature lovers with unique insights into conservation work but also gave filmmakers and conservationists a platform to showcase their work, raise funds, and spread awareness.
“Right of Passage” Webinars
In collaboration with WTI, the Right of Passage webinars brought attention to the importance of elephant corridors and the impacts of development. These insightful discussions united participants to explore solutions for ensuring harmonious coexistence between wildlife and human development.
Gratitude and Partnerships
We are immensely grateful for our partnerships with the Asian Ecotourism Network and Wildlife Trust of India as we work together to create a successful Global Wildlife Fair in 2025.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we gear up for the next year, we are planning exciting events, partnerships, and opportunities to elevate our conservation efforts. A curtain raiser event in January 2025 will set the stage for what promises to be a transformative year. Our goals for 2025 include expanding conservation advocacy, fostering global collaboration, and deepening community engagement.

- Week #44, 2024 | A message from the founder
-
I’ve always been drawn to the wilderness, and through my travels, I saw firsthand how fragile our ecosystems are. Working in ecotourism as the founder of Asian Adventures for over 30 years gave me a unique perspective on the deep connection between nature and people. I quickly realized that meaningful conservation efforts must involve grassroots NGOs and indigenous communities—the ones closest to the land.
One species especially needed urgent attention: the Asian Elephant. These magnificent animals are not only symbols of India’s wilderness but also key players in maintaining ecological balance. Saving them became a central mission for Asian Adventures, inspired by the dedicated work of conservationists like Ashok Kumar and Vivek Menon at the Wildlife Trust of India.
Then came COVID-19, bringing a time of reflection. The world stood still, and I faced the reality that, despite our work, the resources to protect the Asian Elephant and other wildlife were limited. It was a turning point—I realized we needed to unite efforts on a much larger scale to make progress.
And so, the Global Wildlife Fair (GWF) was born. It’s more than an event; it’s a platform to bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about conservation and ecotourism. GWF is designed to spark collaboration, raise awareness, and generate resources for meaningful conservation work.
I believe ecotourism is one of our most powerful tools. When people experience the beauty of the wild, they’re inspired to protect it. Through GWF, we aim to highlight how responsible travel not only supports conservation but also uplifts local communities.
Looking forward, my vision is simple: a world where ecotourism and conservation work hand in hand, ensuring future generations can experience the wonders of nature, especially the majestic Asian Elephant. It’s time for action, and I’m committed to making that vision a reality.
Warm regards,
Mohit Aggarwal
