Description
Established as a bird sanctuary in 1972, Sultanpur National Park is home to a variety of wetland and forest birds, both resident and migratory. When combined with the surrounding grassland flats, Sultanpur offers an amazing birdwatching experience relatively close to Delhi.

Day 01: Delhi - Sultanpur - Delhi

Early morning, pick-up from Delhi and drive to Sultanpur National Park (a one-hour drive) for birding. A fantastic wetland habitat, Sultanpur is home to many migratory waterfowl and scrub forest birds. When combined with the nearby grassland patches, it is a very promising birding destination. 

In the evening, we will return to Delhi.

Expected key species: Desert Wheatear, Yellow-crowned Woodpecker, Indian Courser, Indian Thickness, Short, Short Eared Owl, Sarus Crane, Northern Shovler, Northern Pintail, Greater Spotted Eagle, Long Legged Buzzard.
