‘Elephant-friendly tourism’ is a contemporary and evolutionary approach to conservation that prioritises ethical practices which benefit elephants while supporting local communities and ecosystems.

At the Global Wildlife Fair (10th-12th October 2025), we shall delve into what responsible tourism is and how it can become a tool for protecting these majestic creatures. At the core of this initiative is the creation of safe, natural habitats for elephants and to promotion of economic opportunities for communities that coexist with them. The success of this model has been observed worldwide, showcasing how ethical travel reduces human-wildlife conflict and provides vital incentives to preserve habitats and migration corridors.

This initiative aims to protect elephants and ensure a sustainable future. Revenue from tourism, when directed responsibly, holds the potential to fund anti-poaching efforts, habitat restoration campaigns, and environmental education programs at the grassroot level. These experiences then become the inspiration for travelers to become lifelong advocates for conservation, inspiring them to carry forward the message of impact beyond their travels.

GWF will exhibit destinations and tour operators which are paving the way for elephant-friendly tourism. The attendees shall gain insight into the challenges as well as solutions of this ethical approach through engaging discussions and case studies that shall highlight other similar efforts.

Responsible travel is a choice which contributes to a future where elephants thrive in their natural habitats and sustainable economies are promoted for numerous communities. Join us at the Global Wildlife Fair to learn how your travel choices can ensure a world where elephants roam free and the ecosystem flourishes.
