Indigenous communities have been the earth’s guardians for centuries, holding precious knowledge about the ecosystems they have inhabited and cared for since generations. At the Global Wildlife Fair (10th - 12th October 2025) in New Delhi, their voices will take center stage, as their prominent role in global conservation efforts is spotlighted.

Indigenous communities actively protect forests, rivers, and wildlife as they are ever present on the frontlines. The challenges they face are significant - land encroachment, resource exploitation, and inadequate recognition of their rights.

Our aim is to showcase their successes and contributions by exhibiting indigenous-led conservation initiatives at GWF. Through conversations around traditional practices, we shall discuss how their blend with modern technologies results in effective, lasting solutions. The topics of land rights, sustainable resource management, and community-based tourism will be the focus of the event, prompting the attendees to explore the importance of indigenous knowledge in safeguarding our jungles while ensuring that deep respect for these communities is instilled in all.

As indigenous voices are amplified, a profound understanding of their vital contributions is set in motion. GWF aims to promote cultural diversity and motivate sustainable development. The support of these efforts is crucial for both wildlife conservation and the empowerment of communities. At the Global Wildlife Fair, learn how you can support these efforts through meaningful partnerships, advocacy, and action.
